Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall was not at practice today, but instead was in New York for his appeal hearing at the NFL offices.

Marshall received a three-game suspension from commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Goodell indicated he would reduce the suspension to two games if Marshall maintained contact with a league-appointed counselor and avoided further legal trouble.

The appeal, which will not be heard by Goodell, seeks a further reduction to his suspension. Marshall was to be accompanied in his appeal hearing by his attorney, Harvey Steinberg.
