The Broncos completed their roster cutdown Tuesday to 75 players by releasing receiver Taylor Jacobs and transferring rookie defensive tackle Carlton Powell to the reserve/physically unable to perform list, the team said.

The Broncos previously cut defensive tackle Josh Mallard, and receivers Samie Parker and Lorne Sam.

Jacobs, in his sixth NFL season, was signed by the Broncos as a free agent in November, then played in six games for the team.

Powell, a rookie, injured his right Achilles tendon during offseason training in July. He was a fifth-round pick by Denver (148th overall) in the NFL draft.
