Getting your player ready...
JP Morgan Chase hosted a “Women in Government” luncheon Tuesday recognizing five female governors. We asked Chase CEO and chairman Jamie Dimon a few questions.
What are your thoughts on the economy?
Things will eventually get better in the U.S. The whole global economy is harder to figure out. I’m a guarded optimist. We will have a tough time without reforms. We need some serious policy initiatives in energy, infrastructure, education, the environment.
Do you think things will improve in 2008?
It’s a rocky road in 2008. Things could get better for financial services, but the economy could continue to struggle.
Are we in a recession even if the official numbers don’t show it?
I think so. People are losing their jobs.
