Sen. Barack Obama made time for a workout this morning at the downtown Denver Athletic Club.

He spent about 45 minutes doing cardio, splitting the time between the treadmill, bicycle and eliptical machines.

He then hit the basketball court for another half-hour or so.

Several DAC members were bold enough to say hello and shake his hand. Post-workout, Obama posed for a photo with the club’s general manager Andre van Hall.

Asked how he’s feeling about tonight, Obama said, “I think it’ll be fun,”

Some excited twenty-somethings handed Obama a Politico poster with an image of himself riding a donkey. He accepted and said “thanks.”
