CHEYENNE — The Wyoming State Penitentiary plans to offer in-house testing for inmates interested in receiving their general equivalency diplomas.
Melinda Brazzale, spokeswoman for the Wyoming Department of Corrections, says the department hasn’t offered in-house GED testing since 2001. Officials say testing in-house will save money and make it easier for inmates, and those who receive their GED or high school diploma are less likely to return to prison.
