CANON CITY, Colo. — Canon City police say they have arrested three people in the shooting death of a man who was pulled from the Arkansas River in July.

Police say among the people arrested in the investigation of 37-year-old James Durgan is his estranged wife, Kristin Durgan, who had reported him missing. Also arrested Thursday were 29-year-old Brian Nicholas Folsom and 22-year-old Andrew Tanner.

All face charges of first-degree murder.

Canon City police Chief Dan Shull says more arrests are expected.

James Durgan’s body was found by kayakers in the spikebuck section of the river.

The coroner says he was shot to death.
