Fall is officially still three weeks away, but an autumnal nip will be in the air this week as high temperatures on the Front Range could remain in the 60s and 70s accompanied by lows in the 40s and 50s, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.
Mountain temperatures could be in the 50s during the days and reach freezing at night during that stretch, forecasters said.
The temperatures are unseasonably cool, but not by much. September is often considered the region’s most pleasant month, with the highest percentage of sunny days and cool nights. Severe storms are rare in September, the Weather Service said. Joey Bunch, The Denver Post
