A 6-year-old girl was killed when she ran into the street in the 3300 block of South Bryant Street in Sheridan this afternoon.
The girl, who has not been identified, ran between two parked cars and into the path of traffic about 4:30 p.m. near on South Bryant approaching West Girard Avenue, police said,
The girl was rushed to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, where she died as a result of her injuries.
No information about the driver or charges, if any, has yet been released by the State Patrol, which investigates traffic fatalities.
