Red-zone mistakes:
On consecutive red-zone plays on a second-quarter drive, Eddie Royal (penalty) and Tony Scheffler (dropped pass) negated a Denver touchdown. The Broncos settled for a field goal to go ahead 10-0.
Poor coverage:
Denver’s special teams weren’t special early, allowing a 58-yard kickoff return the first time Oakland touched the ball.
Drawing Cutler’s ire:
Nate Jackson dropped a pass on Denver’s first drive. It wasn’t a drive killer, but quarterback Jay Cutler wasn’t too pleased. Reading lips, he screamed: “Come on, Nate!”
