Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall spoke today about his Week 1 suspension and his excitement to return to the field Sunday against the San Diego Chargers when he’ll play on the opposite side of rookie sensation Eddie Royal.
“I told you guys before, I think my comment was, ‘He’s amazing,’ Marshall said of Royal. “He’s a great talent and I can’t ask for (a better) receiver on the other side.”
Marshall then reinforced that Royal’s stellar play might be a surprise to fans, but not Denver players. “I’m excited to have him, but I’ve been excited since the first day I seen him,” Marshall said.
Marshall spent last week training in Golden. He said he watched Denver’s 41-14 victory against the Raiders at home with friends.
“I was a true fan. I was throwing things, really excited,” he said. “It was a neat experience, but an experience I would never have to deal with again . . . It was one week. It could have been worse.”
