It could have been worse for Carolina Panthers tight end Dante Rosario. Fox Sports could have put up the name Rosario Sanchez, Karen Walker’s feisty maid in the television show “Will and Grace,” in a graphic after the game in which Rosario caught the winning touchdown on the final play.
Instead, Fox put up the name Rosario Dawson, an actress known from “Sin City” and “He Got Game.”
While Rosario has little in common with Dawson, he did enter Sunday’s game with only six more catches than her.
“Other than that her first name is the same as my last name, I don’t really see another connection. It was kind of funny, though,” Rosario told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
