The presidential campaign tug-of-war in Colorado gets intense Monday with dueling visits by Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

Obama plans two visits Monday in Colorado: one in the Pueblo area and one in Grand Junction. Details of the events have not been released.

Palin, the Alaska governor who has been drawing huge crowds at rallies with John McCain, will appear Monday at an outdoor pancake breakfast at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Her event is open to the public, but a ticket is required.

Tickets to the Palin event can be obtained by calling the Colorado McCain headquarters at 303-952-4670 or by visiting the office at 6334 S. Racine Circle, Suite 200, Centennial. The office is open until 7 p.m. today, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Doors will open at 7 a.m. and the event begins at 9 a.m.
