Lighten up
Fall hikes and bike rides call for shirts that are long-sleeved but not heavy. GoLite had this in mind when creating its Drimove top, $50, for men and women. The shirt is constructed of polyester and CoCoNa, made from recycled coconut shells, which helps wick moisture and absorb odors. A SPF rating of 50+ is a plus. The top, ideal for layering when dressing for winter sports, comes in several colors and is also available in short-sleeved versions. golite.com

Pump you up
Add the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center in Lafayette to the growing list of spots you can drop into for a Bodypump fitness class. Les Mills’ Bodypump, a choreographed but non-impact conditioning class — available at 25 Colorado gyms — runs 45 minutes to an hour and promises to burn up to 600 calories using a routine of high-rep, low-weight lifting to high-energy music. The system works every major muscle group and participants report quick results in the form of strong and lean — rather than bulky — muscles. You can find a gym that offers the classes at lesmills.com/bodypump, or check out one of the 10 sessions offered each week in Lafayette. Details at cityoflafayette.com/ recreation.
