
Max Hall, BYU: Tied a school record with seven touchdown passes against UCLA, matching Marc Wilson and Jim McMahon. He had six touchdown passes in the first half as the Cougars took a 42-0 lead, then got his seventh on a 6-yard pass to Harvey Unga with 7:43 left in the third quarter.
Chase Daniel, Missouri: Set the school career passing record, throwing for 405 yards against Nevada. Daniel has 9,513 yards passing. His predecessor and the previous record holder, Brad Smith, finished with 8,799 yards in four seasons as a starter.
Knowshon Moreno, Georgia: Moreno’s sliding 4-yard touchdown run in the third quarter put the No. 2 Bulldogs ahead of South Carolina in a game dominated by defense.
Chris Wells, Ohio State: Sat out Saturday night against Southern California because of an injured right foot. Wells was hurt in the season opener against Youngstown State.
