RTD will hold 16 meetings throughout metro Denver over a month beginning Sept. 25 to get public comment on how the agency should proceed with its financially troubled FasTracks transit expansion.

RTD officials are asking the public to weigh in on options for FasTracks. One would raise the extra $1.8 billion now needed to complete the project on time. A second option would be to build whatever can be constructed with the existing budget — an approach that would likely mean shortening the length of some lines and reducing service levels.
