Federal authorities are looking for a man they say has robbed two Denver banks in two days.
FBI special agent Kathy Wright said the robber, in his late teens or early 20s, struck the TCF Bank at 2084 S. Broadway today, where he passed a note to the teller demanding money and then fled on foot.
The same robber, who is about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and weighs about 145 pounds, robbed the Bank of the West at 3460 W. 38th Ave. on Thursday at about 4:50 p.m..
There, too, he handed a note to a teller demanding money and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Wright described the robber as a white or Latino man with short dark hair. On Thursday, he wore a black T-shirt with “Puma” printed on the chest and a white baseball cap.
Today, he wore a gray hoodie, dark pants and a red baseball cap.
The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is seeking help in identifying the robber. Anyone with information on the robberies or the suspect is asked to call 303-629-7171.
