A body was discovered this morning in the Platte River near Platte River Drive and West Alameda Avenue.
Denver Detective John White said that a passer-by called police at about 8:47 a.m. to report a body floating in the river.
White said the body has been retrieved but that a cause of death has not been determined.
He said police will try to determine who the victim is, how long the body was in the river and whether foul play was involved.
