In the sort of exercise guaranteed to launch debates across the country, ESPN.com’s Jim Caple compiled a list of America’s 100 “most important” sports venues. There was only one Colorado venue that made the list. Invesco Field at Mile High? Nope. Coors Field? Negative. Cherry Hills or The Broadmoor? Neither. According to Caple, Colorado’s No. 1 sports venue is the U.S. Olympic Training Center (No. 15). Others of note were Yankee Stadium (No. 1), ESPN headquarters (10), the Iditarod course (75) and Topps Baseball Card Company (79). Let the debate begin. Denver Post wire services
