Frontier Airlines reported a net loss of $5.6 million Thursday for August. The Denver-based company posted an operating profit of $3.3 million but accrued $6.5 million in reorganization items and a noncash loss of $500,000 on fuel-hedging contracts.
Excluding these and other losses, Frontier said it had net income of $1.2 million for the month. Cash and short-term investments increased to $77.8 million.
