TOPEKA, Kan. — Being the governor of Kansas didn’t excuse Kathleen Sebelius from jury duty, but knowing a lot of attorneys did.
Sebelius spent several hours Monday in the Shawnee County courthouse in Topeka after reporting for jury duty. She said before entering the courthouse that she’d “love to serve on a jury” and had never done so. She ultimately was excused because she had connections to the plaintiff’s attorney.
