Colorado insurance regulators on Friday ordered funeral provider Neptune Society to answer allegations that it may have misled consumers who paid for pre-need memorial plans.
The state Division of Insurance claims the Florida company, owned by Neptune Management Corp., sold package plans that bypassed requirements to escrow 75 percent of the funds, amounting to about $2.6 million.
