CRAIG, Colo.—Senior Brenden Beeg rallied Tuesday to overcome a four-stroke deficit to win the individual Class 4A state golf championship and help D’Evelyn win its first state title.
Beeg’s 4-under-par 66 Tuesday and an even-par 70 Monday was enough to place him over first-day leader Wyndham Clark of Valor Christian. Clark finished in second place with a score of 2-over 142. Tied for third place in individual results were Andrew McCain of Pueblo Centennial and Ryan Hooks of Evergreen. Each shot 145.
In team results, Greeley Central took second place with a 446 score and Montrose took third place with 453.
The tournament took place at the Yampa Valley Golf Course.
