A man was stabbed in downtown Denver during the lunch hour near the busy corner of East Colfax Avenue and Lincoln Street.
The victim of the attack was rushed by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
Police received calls at about 12:20 p.m. on the incident, Jackson said. Investigators have detained a person to question about the attack.
Details on the victim, including his name, were not available. Police are working on establishing a motive for the stabbing, which happened across the street from the Colorado State Capitol.
