COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has suspended a cyclist who tested positive for an illegal substance.
USADA officials said Wednesday that Ricardo Hernandez of Miami accepted the 2-year suspension on September 15. USADA officials say the 42-year-old tested positive for exogenous testosterone, an anabolic agent.
The suspension means Hernandez is disqualified from all results from March 2, 2008 and thereafter. That’s the date his urine sample was collected.
Hernandez was also ordered to forfeit any medals, points and prizes he may have received during that time frame.
