COLORADO MEDICAL SOCIETY: Dr. W. Ben Vernon, medical director of the transplant program at Porter Adventist Hospital, was named the society’s 2008-09 president. Vernon has been with Porter Adventist Hospital since 1992 and has directed the transplant program since 1995.
FIRST DATA CORP.: Appointed Robert DeRodes as chief technology officer. DeRodes recently served as executive vice president and chief information officer for Home Depot.
TYCO ELECTRONICS: Promoted Dana Hansen to regional sales manager, responsible for Colorado and the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and Alaska. Deanna Vega was recently hired to replace Hansen as executive account manager.
CROCS INC.: Appointed Peter Jacobi to the board of directors. Jacobi retired from Levi Strauss & Co. in 1999.
JONES INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY: Named Debora Scheffel dean of the school of education.
VAIL RESORTS INC.: Promoted John Garnsey and Blaise Carrig to co-presidents of the mountain division and Stan Brown to president of the lodging division.
BABOLAT: Promoted Seth Mc Kinley to sports-marketing manager for the Americas and Australia and added Jackie Carleton and Steve Strecker to the USA sports-marketing team.
MWH: Announced that Donald Sherman has joined the firm as chief marketing and sales officer.
SOUTHWEST ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECT: Announced that Christine Brinker has returned as a program associate after serving two years in the Peace Corps in West Africa. SWEEP also named Gene Dilworth as a program associate.
