Tickets are on sale for the 59th Warren Miller ski film, “Children of Winter,” with the Colorado debut scheduled Oct. 22 at Winter Park’s Silver Screen Cinema.
This year’s film takes viewers to Iceland, Austria, British Columbia, Alaska and Japan. Skiers include Jonny Moseley, Daron Rahlves, Marco Sullivan and Wendy Fisher, along with snowboarders Seth Wescott and Gerry Lopez.
Colorado scores with segments shot in Steamboat, Crested Butte and Silverton, not to mention Leadville, where Chris Anthony learns the finer points of skijoring.
The Colorado tour also hits Aspen (Oct. 24-25), Colorado Springs (Nov. 7-8), Boulder (Nov. 11-16), Denver’s Paramount Theater (Nov. 19-23), Littleton (Nov. 25) and Beaver Creek (Nov. 28-29).
