A 52-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed this afternoon when his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcyle drifted into the wrong lane and was hit by car driven by a 16-year-old from Whitewater.

Fredrick Viera of East Stroudsburg, Pa., died from his injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, according to the State Patrol.

Viera was riding north on Colorado Highway 141 when he drifted into the southbound lane going around a curve about two miles south of U.S. 50 near Whitewater, troopers said.

He hit a 1985 Toyota MR2 driven by 16-year-old Charles D. Fuller, who was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.
