DENVER — Election officials expect big crowds when early voting sites open Monday.

Denver plans to have 15 poll workers and at least four check-in tables at each of its 13 sites. Officials figure they can accommodate more than 5,600 voters a day.

Douglas County is adding an 11th polling site and 100 electronic voting machines to the 200 it used during early voting in the August primary.

Election officials think voter turnout could be more than 90 percent in some parts of Colorado and they’re hoping people will go to the polls early to avoid long lines Nov. 4.

Early voting ends Oct. 31.
