Collin Audley scored the game-winning goal Sunday as the University of Denver men’s soccer team downed Sacramento State 2-1 at Pioneer field.

Ryan Aweida also scored for Denver, which improved to 7-5-0 overall, 5-0-0 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play. The Pioneers are one win shy of the team’s best start in the conference.

DU women’s soccer conquers Arkansas-Little Rock.

Freshman midfielder Bria Beardsley scored on a penalty kick and the University of Denver women’s soccer team improved to 14-1-2 with a 3-1 win over the visiting Arkansas-Little Rock.

Denver was awarded the penalty kick after the Trojans’ defense took down senior forward Taryn Hemmings inside the box in the 33rd minute.

Sophomore defender Jessie Rogers and junior forward Kelli Breidenbach also scored for the Pioneers, who outshot the Trojans 22-10.

CU women’s soccer ties Iowa State.

Led by goal tender Kirstin Radlinski, the University of Colorado women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Iowa State in Ames, Iowa.

Radlinski recorded her fourth shutout of the season, making a season-high six saves, but offensively, the Buffaloes failed to find the net, leaving them 12-2-3 overall and 6-1-2 in Big 12 play.

Eagles win shootout in Loveland.

Kevin Ulanski and Scott Polaski scored in a shootout, sending the Colorado Eagles to a 5-4 win over Rapid City late Saturday night in a Central Hockey League game at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

The Eagles scored four power-play goals, tying the second-most in franchise history for a single game.

Colorado goaltender Morgan Cey, in his first start of the season, stopped six of seven Rapid City shooters in the shootout to preserve the victory.

Difficult start for Rage continues in Texas.

John Snowden and Daymen Rycroft scored the lone goals for the Rocky Mountain Rage as they fell 7-2 to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in a CHL game at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

With two losses to begin the season, the Rage is off to a rough start, allowing 14 goals and scoring only three.
