Stuart Tanner is not an NBA star, but the 28-year-old Briton has become a YouTube sensation since beating New Jersey Nets guard Devin Harris, right, in a game of one-on-one earlier this month. More than 3.5 million viewers have watched a clip of the contest at an outdoor court in south London. Afterward, Harris, a four-year NBA veteran, said he’d been hustled and added: “He might be able to get an NBA contract. We need to sign him up tonight.” Harris averaged 14.8 points per game for the Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets last season.
