The others are the one-two Denver-band punch of jumpy indie rockers Young Coyotes and the dreamy electro-rock tapestries of The Life There Is. $10.
Jaguares’ intriguing name hints at not only its quintessential rock en Español roots, but also founder Saúl Hernández’s original dream that he was singing in a jaguar’s mouth. While we can’t all be lucky (and awesome) enough to have dreams like that, we can see the Mexico City act Thursday with with iZCALLi at the Ogden Theatre. $35-$40.
Experience Hendrix may seem a blasphemous interpretation — or at the very least, a cheap copy — of the legendary guitarist’s work, but the tour pays the same attention to detail as similar tribute shows for Zappa and Pink Floyd. In fact, Jimi Hendrix Experience sidemen Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (bass) will bolster featured guitarists Hubert Sumlin (Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters) and many others. Thursday at the Paramount Theatre. $39.50-$99.50
