U.S. foreclosure filings in September fell 12 percent from August but were up 21 percent from the previous September, according to RealtyTrac, a foreclosure-tracking service based in Irvine, Calif.
Foreclosure filings in Colorado fell 6.2 percent month to month and 31 percent year over year in September. The state had one foreclosure filing for every 482 households during the month, ranking it 10th among states.
