Vail Resort executives and city officials in Vail are bracing for a bad season with fewer skiers spending fewer dollars amid a struggling economy. Vail Resorts chief executive Rob Katz told an economic forum in Vail on Tuesday that hotel bookings are down significantly and that skiers who do come this winter will spend less money per person.
