The Adams State cross country team swept the men’s and women’s individual and team titles, winning a seventh consecutive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women’s team championship and a fourth straight men’s crown Saturday at Road Motocross Area in Grand Junction.

Adams State’s Lavenna Mullenbach won the women’s 6-kilometer title, finishing in 21 minutes, 22.9 seconds. Colorado-Colorado Springs’ Shannon Payne was second, followed by the Grizzlies’ Heather Wood. Adams State’s 29 team points topped second-place Western State at 47. Mesa State was third at 108.

In the 8K men’s race, Adams State’s Aaron Braun won in 24:35.3, edging teammate Brian Medigovich and Laurent Ngirakamaro of New Mexico Highlands. The Grizzlies’ 20 points topped Western State (49 points) and Colorado Mines (81).
