SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Falcons scored two power- play goals during the second period and held off American International in an Atlantic Hockey Association game Saturday.
Air Force earned its second road sweep of the season and improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the AHA. The 6-0 start is the Falcons’ best since their 1971-72 team started 8-0. American International fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the AHA.
Air Force’s six-game win streak against Division I teams ties as the best in AFA history. The Falcons also had a six-game win streak near the end of the 2006-07 season.
