Bob Kendrick will no longer have a seat at the anchor desk at KUSA Channel 9 after the next ratings sweeps. He will leave his post at the end of November. His contract with the station was not renewed.

“There’s nothing I want to say about it,” Kendrick said by phone Monday.

The longtime co-anchor with Adele Arakawa at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. joined the station in 2003 from WFTS-TV in Tampa, Fla. He has won several of the most coveted journalism awards in addition to helping drive the station’s news ratings to the top of the market.

Kendrick referred all questions to news director Patti Dennis, who was unavailable Monday.
