Pink, “Funhouse” (LaFace)
No, it’s not an ambitious recasting of the classic Stooges album, but yet another entry into the “I got divorced, and I’m going to sing about it!” catalog, courtesy of this multihued pop-rock barnacle. Fans will dig it, and the rest of us will forget about it in a few weeks.
Snow Patrol, “A Hundred Million Suns” (RCA)
Those turned off by the slick approach of Snow Patrol’s past couple of albums won’t find much to celebrate in tepid singles such as “Take Back the City,” but the band’s drive to the hoop includes a few stylistic turns that should hearten longtime supporters.
Toby Keith, “That Don’t Make Me a Bad Guy” (Show Dog Nashville)
Calculated panderer or mirror to society? Keith doesn’t answer on his latest, but he does take a more assertive songwriting role amid his burgeoning status as a corporate brand also named Toby Keith. John Wenzel
