AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Five players scored for Air Force, helping the Falcons stay undefeated after a 5-1 rout of Bentley on Friday at the Cadet Ice Arena.

The 17th-ranked Falcons are 7-0 for the first time since the 1971-72 team started the season 8-0, and their seven straight Division I wins are a school record.

Air Force scored two goals during the first period in a span of 20 seconds. Greg Flynn’s point shot started a flurry in front of the net and freshman Paul Weisgarber scored his second of the season at the 9:49 mark.

Derrick Burnett, Blake Page and Scott Kozlak also scored for the Falcons.

“This was a solid team win for us tonight,” head coach Frank Serratore said. “All four of lines scored and we played with good intensity.”

Air Force improved to 5-0-0 in Atlantic Hockey Association play. Bentley fell to 1-2-0 overall and 0-1-1 in the league.

The teams conclude the series Saturday. Following that game, Air Force is idle until a road league series at Holy Cross Nov. 14-15.
