COLUMBUS, OHIO — The NHL suspended Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll for one game today because of an instigator penalty in the final minutes of Thursday night’s victory over the Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.
Boll will miss the home game Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus general manager Scott Howson said.
The Blue Jackets earned a rare 4-2 victory at Colorado on Thursday night. The penalty carries an automatic one-game suspension.
Boll was activated from injured reserve Tuesday after missing five games with a possible concussion. As a rookie last season, he had five goals, five assists and a team-high 226 penalty minutes in 75 games.
