DENVER—Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will campaign in Colorado Springs and the Denver area Saturday for Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

McCain’s campaign announced the visit Friday.

Romney will be at Mr. Biggs Family Fun Center at 4:30 p.m. in Colorado Springs and at McCain’s Victory Headquarters at 6:30 p.m. in the Denver suburb of Greenwood Village.

Romney is popular in Colorado and soundly defeated McCain in the state’s GOP presidential caucuses in February, but he withdrew from the race days later.

Since then, Romney has made at least two trips to Colorado to campaign or raise money for McCain.

Republican Rep. Marilyn Musgrave at one point urged McCain to choose Romney as his running mate.
