A new push poll that seems to have debuted Sunday raised the hackles of some Sen. Barack Obama supporters, such as Boulder biologist Judy St.Clair. The automated call touches on late-term abortion, gay marriage, the economy and casts Obama in a negative light.
St.Clair accused the poll of “spewing lies and fear. It’s just horrible,” she said.
The group behind the poll, a conservative nonprofit called Let Freedom Ring, did not return e-mails requesting comment.
Their website is full of allegations about Obama’s ties to questionable characters and other popular anti-Obama accusations.
The campaign for Sen. John McCain said it had no knowledge of the poll. Jessica Fender, The Denver Post
