BOULDER, Colo.—Two mountain bikers have found human skeletal remains southwest of Boulder, but investigators don’t suspect foul play.
Boulder County sheriff’s deputies say the bones were found Saturday on U.S. Forest Service land.
Authorities said Tuesday it could take several weeks to determine the dead person’s identity because the bones were severely deteriorated.
They say the bones were scattered over several hundred square feet, probably by animals.
