Getting your player ready...

In these uncertain economic times, count your blessings you’re not a Los Angeles Lakers fan. Oh, sure, they have a great team, but it costs nearly an arm and a leg to attend their games. According to Team Marketing Report’s 2008-09 Fan Cost Index, you’ll need to fork over $479.48 for four fans to witness “Showtime” in action. That includes four average-price tickets, two small beers, four small sodas, four hot dogs, parking, two programs and two caps. As a Nuggets fan, you’ll only have to cough up $287.70 for the same package, though the chances of witnessing a victory are reduced. Denver Post wire services
