Colorado fans can’t watch the big boys race at PPIR, but the big boys are allowed to test at the state’s first superspeedway. PPIR’s new owners can host small-school events at the facility, but not sell more than 10,000 tickets for a sanctioned race. The deal stinks, and it all goes back to International Speedway Corp., which bought out PPIR to avoid competition before building its so-called Denver track, then sold the track with big-school restrictions. ISC should not be taken off the hook until it builds in Denver, and uses its own money to do it.
