“Spectacular Paris” ($45, Universe) arrives just in time for holiday gift-giving, an oversized coffee-table book chock-full of glossy color photographs depicting street scenes and panoramic views of the city, with far more than the usual shots of Jim Morrison’s grave and boats passing under the bridges along the Seine. Author William G. Scheller provides his take on the atmosphere and sites depicted in the views from photographers Jean-Luc Bertini and Arnaud Frich, and the numerous foldout pages give extra space to the spaces that deserve it.
