Ride on

Cycle a few miles for a good cause by signing up for Pedal for Prevention. Now through Saturday, gyms equipped with Expresso bikes are helping people raise money for the American Diabetes Association by going on a virtual ride-athon. Riders create a personal pledge page at , find a gym (pay a day rate if you’re not a member) and then raise money by logging miles on the Web-enabled Expresso bikes. The cycles have video screens that enable riders to take virtual tours, ride in video games and other entertainment options. There is no minimum pledge, but any rider who raises $200 or more will receive a Pedal for Prevention T-shirt. Proceeds raised will go toward diabetes research, information and advocacy.
