Getting your player ready...

Just as it started, the season for Broncos rookie running back Ryan Torain is finished. An MRI this morning confirmed Torain sustained a torn ACL in his left knee in Thursday’s 34-30 win at Cleveland.

Torain made his NFL debut Sunday against Miami and had 1 yard on three carries. The fifth-round pick from Arizona State made his first start Thursday and had 12 carries for 68 yards, including his first touchdown, before being hurt in the second quarter.

He will have surgery possibly as soon as next week, and is expected to be ready by training camp.

The Broncos’ tailback corps is down to Selvin Young, who has been bothered the past four games with a groin injury, and rookie Peyton Hillis, a seventh-round draft pick out of Arkansas who normally plays fullback.
