As the Avalanche prepares to play the Canucks at 8 p.m. tonight in Vancouver, Colorado announced that center Ben Guite will miss the game and is out indefinitely with a rib injury.
Guite has two goals and two assists in nine games this season. He has won a team-high 58 percent of his faceoffs this season (40-of-69) and is tied for first on the team with a +3 plus/minus rating.
He tied his career high with two points when he had two assists on Oct. 23 vs. Edmonton.
