Now the Demons will look to extend their 10-game road winning streak. . . . Berthoud compiled 463 yards of total offense in a 40-26 road victory at Centaurus last week. . . . The Spartans bring a seven-game home winning streak into the game.
(5) Mountain View (10-1) at (4) Pueblo County (8-3), Hornets Nest, Saturday, 1 p.m.: The Mountain Lions got a game-high 189 yards rushing from Steve Ryan en route to a 45-27 victory over Pueblo East in the preliminaries. . . . Mountain View now gets another Southern League school in Pueblo County. The Hornets scored 28 first-half points in disposing of Steamboat Springs, 45-21, last week. . . . Pueblo County rushed for 431 yards in beating the Sailors, including 192 yards and three touchdowns for Marshall Stout.
(14) Windsor (7-4) at (11) D’Evelyn (10-1), Trailblazer Stadium, Saturday, 1 p.m.: The Wizards picked off Conifer quarterback Craig Fowler three times in a 20-6 upset of the third-seeded Lobos. . . . The win was Windsor’s third straight, all on the road. . . . Kyle Petry’s 45-yard field goal bounced off the crossbar and through as D’Evelyn shocked sixth-seeded Palisade, 30-28. The Bulldogs had five turnovers. . . . The Jaguars have shut out their last two home opponents, Alameda and Valor Christian, by a combined score of 91-0.
(2) Fort Morgan (11-0) at (10) Summit (10-1), Saturday, 1 p.m.: Fort Morgan has lost just once in the last two seasons to an in-state team — that was in last year’s state quarterfinals to Palisade. . . . Chris Cobbley rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 32-0 victory over Elizabeth. Devon Deroche added 145 yards on the ground. . . . Summit, another Metro League school with just one loss, like D’Evelyn, scored a 17-3 road win at Cañon City last week. . . . The Tigers have allowed just 10 points the past two games and in seven of their 10 victories, the opponent has scored seven points or less.
