A 39-year-old Gypsum man was arrested on charges he was dealing cocaine in an apartment complex.

Ivan Trejo was arrested on charges of cocaine dealing, possession of cocaine and possession of forged identification cards, said Shannon Cordingly, Eagle County Sheriff’s spokeswoman.

A resident tipped sheriff’s investigators about drug deals going down in the Holy Cross Village apartment complex in Gypsum, Cordingly said.

Eagle County Drug Task Force detectives and a K9 Unit arrested the suspect and discovered 6 grams of cocaine in packages ready for sale hidden inside the apartment.

The officers also found fake identification cards.

Trejo is an illegal immigrant. Eagle County sheriff’s investigators notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. Trejo is being held on a $50,000 bond.
